Rody Duterte's Son Paolo Duterte States Declaring Mar Roxas 'persona non-grata' in Davao a Valid Statement. Read!
Rodrigo Duterte's son, Paolo Duterte, took to his social media account in Facebook to express his thoughts about echoing the growing sentiments of the Davaoeños in declaring Mar as 'persona non-grata' due to his claims that the peace and order of Davao city is a myth.
On Paolo Duterte's Facebook page, the Davao City Vice Mayor echoed the sentiments of many people, in which he said that it is a valid statement to declare Mar Roxas persona non-grata in their city because many Davaoeños felt that Roxas underestimated the achievements of Davao to use it as an advantage for his own personal gains in the world of politics.

Athough he supports the idea, Paolo said that there is no need to do so for it will just draw the attention of many people towards him. He said. “The call to declare Mar Roxas as persona non grata I think is a valid sentiment of the people as we think that Mar mocked the achievements of the city for his personal political gains. But I see no compelling reason to declare him as such for to do so would put us on the same level as he is. His campaign is gasping and for us to afford him our attention would breathe life into a dying campaign.”
Davao City also declared Roxas' celebrity supporter Ramon Bautista last August of 2014 a persona non-grata after he joked about the city's women during the Kadawayan Festival. Paolo said that the jest Ramon made on women was disrespectful, so there should be consequences that must be faced along with Roxas' come this 2016 presidential elections.
He then added, “While Ramon Bautista and Mar Roxas are of the same color (yellow), the difference between their utterances is that the former singled out our women at binastos sila so he shall personally bear the consequences of his act, while Roxas' is political mudslinging and he shall bear his consequences come 2016 presidential elections,”
Rodrigo Duterte claimed that Roxas' initiated the clash between the two of them by spreading false information about his health with cancer rumors that triggered the anger of his children, causing him to retaliate.
“Ikaw nag-umpisa e. Ikaw nagsabi na may cancer ako. I was really holding na ayaw ko then you got my children into anger kaya hindi na sila nagsabi na ‘wag [na akong tumakbo],” He said.
“Galit sa publicist mo, ikaw ‘yun e,” he then added.
It appears the contest between the two presidential candidates is heating up, exchanging blows with verbal artillery. As the 2016 elections near with each day passing, the race for the presidency is getting thicker and thicker.
