A student has been the focal point of social media anger and fury after a video surfaced online of him wiping the classroom floor with the Philippine flag. The video has been featured on Facebook page Pinoy Online Watchers, and from there it took off and raised social networking debate and fury. Many netizens found the student's acts to be a direct insult and disrespect to the entire Philippines, especially the Filipinos who express their strong patriotism for their country.

The post has already amassed a thousand likes and shares, drawing mixed reactions from many people. Many have felt that the student should be punished for his inconsiderate behavior and be expelled from the school. Some even went beyond further than that, stating that he should go to prison for not showing enough dignity, honor and respect for the three stars and the sun.

The school and its teachers have also been receiving heavy criticism as of late, with many netizens saying that the school failed to properly lecture and teach their student the value and importance of the flag as a representation, symbol, and emblem of the Philippines.
